GETTING READY

Each aspect of the day tells a beautiful story, so capturing getting ready on both the bride and groom’s side is a staple of the day’s capture. Here we capture not just the bride getting ready but also her details such as rings, dress, etc. as well as shots with parents and bridesmaids. We do the same on the groom’s side. We always recommend you aim for getting ready at least an hour in advance of the ceremony to ensure you’re not in too much of a hurry to leave and we are able to capture beautiful portraits of yourself and the immediate members of your family that are there.

  • How do you want your getting-ready shots to look? Would you like a clean modern feel, a rustic aesthetic, or would you like to retain the warm inviting vibe of your home? Knowing how you’d like the imagery to feel will act as a guide to help you select the best getting-ready spot.

  • Is your bridal party getting ready with you? This consideration ensures you select a location that fits your full team.

  • Is your getting ready space roomy enough to hide the clutter or would you have to be a little more conscious of this when getting ready?

  • Do you have any fun photo ideas you’d like incorporated with your bridal party? (Pinterest inspiration is a fun way for us to get a feel of what you like)

  • Do you have a pretty hanger? We typically suggest your wedding dress is placed on a pretty hanger as this tends to add to the images.

  • What time is your makeup and hair scheduled to finish? (This should be completed at least an hour before you are ready to leave, which ensures you are not too rushed and have time for the bridal portraits which typically take half-hour)

  • Are all your bridal accessories by the bride's location? EG. rings - his & hers. (This helps our team craft the best-detailed shots), any guest invitations or custom-designed programs are also great accents to this.

contact numbers

  • Who are the contact persons on each side that will be available for communications with the photography teams? We suggest a member of the bridal party or a family member that will be with you and have their phone readily available.

  • Do you have a wedding planner or on-the-day coordinator? A planner is always of great assistance on a wedding day, so if you do, this number is a must.

Ceremony

Ceremony times may vary amongst religions however on average happens within 1 hour.

Here we perform beautiful documentary capture of the day.

FAMILY PORTRAITS

When do you capture family portraits?

Immediate family members are typically captured after the ceremony (if the decor or location presents a beautiful backdrop). If the location is not conducive to this session we can include them in the couple’s portrait session at the designated location.

Bridal Portraits

Bridal Portrait sessions are a staple of every wedding, they are done 2 hours before sunset. This time is typically suggested as it is conducive to the best lighting conditions and therefore images. Earlier images though possible, run the risk of you becoming tired and hot early in the session. These sessions last one and a half (1 1/2) hours.

This session caters to the couple’s portraits, immediate family members, and bridal party.

This location should be within close proximity of the ceremony or reception location to avoid lost travel time. We can work along with you to decide on the best location for these. If additional portraits of extended family members and friends are required, we typically do these within the reception. We do suggest you have one point person familiar with the groups to ensure a smooth flow.

RECEPTION

Reception times may vary but reception agendas typically end within the usual 8-hour period. Here we perform documentary capture, couple’s portraits with family and friends and artistic couple’s photography when applicable.

What is the Reception Schedule like? Typical schedules follow as Entrance, Speeches, Food, Cake Cutting, First Dance, and Party (including bouquet and garter toss). Variations to this may exist but should be communicated so we can best serve. You can check out a template created to help you with the timing of these events here.

Extended Hours

Can you stay longer than 8 hours?

Sure! Extended hours are optional to all our packages for those that would like the extra coverage for unique aspects of their day such as fireworks displays, lantern releases, celebrity performances, or any other activity carded for a later time.
